Head of Corporate Partnerships

I approach companies to inform them about our innovative character development programmes for young people. There’s a raft of ways we can work with corporates and it is my role to make them aware of the many ways they can get involved with Making The Leap and encourage them to provide financial support to enable us to continue our work. I have been with Making The Leap since 1998 and in that time I have held a variety of roles.

For me, doing what I do comes from the heart and is shaped by my own experience of attending a school that had low expectations of me and living in a council tower block where my daily reality was far removed from where I wanted to be. I saw many of my old class mates giving up on their dreams despite being academically bright because their daily reality kept chipping away at their confidence, and dare I say it mine.

There was no-one like Making The Leap around to help us believe in ourselves and inspire us. But now Making The Leap is here and I want to make a difference.

An interesting fact about me:

When I came to the UK I couldn’t speak English, however 2 years later I was translating for others.
