Nicholas Cheffings– Chair
Nicholas was the first member of his family to go to university. He began his legal career working in-house before moving into private practice. He served as the global Chair of Hogan Lovells for six years, from 2012-2018, and now co-heads the real estate disputes (property litigation) team in London.
Nicholas is committed to increasing diversity and social inclusion. He is a member of numerous related bodies, as well as the Chairman of PRIME – an alliance of law firms across the UK, committed to improving access to the legal profession through work experience. Nicholas believes that access to the professions must be open and fair, and that perceived barriers that may deter talented individuals must be removed. Nicholas personally supports many of Hogan Lovells social mobility initiatives.
