Our Fundraising Gala raised a record-breaking £200,000 for Making The Leap, an amount that will make a huge difference to the lives of young Londoners in the year ahead. It was a wonderful evening and we were thrilled to be joined by all our guests- including Guests of Honour, Mr and Mrs Douglas Flint CBE.
The night’s speaker was Kezia, one of Making The Leap’s Fellows, who moved the room when she spoke eloquently about her journey, and reminded us why we were all there. She spoke about a lack of confidence preventing her from reaching her potential after university, and how, through Making The Leap’s support, she achieved an incredible role at a top social media company, where she’s now thriving.
We are sincerely grateful to all who attended the event on 20th April. We are also grateful to those who helped make the night such a resounding success – our Chair of Trustees Dr Julie Paine and Gala Committee, companies and individuals who donated money or auction prizes. You have not only helped us to exceed our fundraising target, but you have given thousands more young people the opportunity to reach their potential.
