Over the last year, we have seen the organisation grow and make an even bigger impact on schoolchildren and young adults across London. We couldn’t have achieved this alone. It is through the support of our volunteers, corporate partners, supporters, donors and funders that have helped us change young lives. Being able to say ‘thank you’ is important to us, which is why last Thursday we threw a party with this very aim. The event, which was kindly sponsored by Nomura, took place at their central London headquarters, with stunning views over the city.

Our guests enjoyed live music, drinks and canapes, as well as the opportunity to meet and speak to Fellows and staff members. Later on in the evening, we heard a speech from Selvia, a Fellow who spoke about her experiences of our programme for young adults. Selvia moved the room when she described how Making The Leap helped her through a difficult time, and gave her the support and confidence she needed to achieve. She is now on one of the country’s best graduate schemes, and a fantastic testament to how your support truly makes a significant difference. Afterwards, our Chief Executive, Tunde Banjoko OBE, took to the stage and personally thanked all our guests on behalf of the charity.

It is not only Selvia whose life has been changed through our help. Over the last year, we have supported 4812 young people. We aim to support even more over the next year. With your help, we can achieve this. We’d like to say a very big thank you to: All our dedicated volunteers, individual donors, supporters and friends of the charity, Fellows – for being such fantastic representatives, Making The Leap’s Board of Trustees and Chair, Dr Julie Paine, Nomura, for sponsoring the party. The following organisations: HSBC, Franklin Templeton Investments, PwC, The Clothworker’s Foundation, John Lyon’s Charity, Trust for London, Barclays, BT, Capco, Cleshar, Foxtons, Google, IrwinMitchell, JPMorgan, Pentland Brands, Red Pixie, Southwark Council, The Telegraph Media Group, Vaultex and Veolia.
