We are thrilled to share that our partnership with Howard Kennedy LLP will be continuing for a further two years.

To mark this exciting renewal and celebrate the impact of our partnership, Howard Kennedy hosted its Transforming Futures Week in May. The week brought together Howard Kennedy colleagues, Making The Leap staff and Fellows, including our alumni board, through a varied programme of activities focused on raising awareness, volunteering and fundraising.

Activities included an interactive Making The Leap pop-up stand, a Coffee Connect networking session and an inspiring Social Mobility panel event hosted by the firm’s Social Mobility Network. Seeing so many of our Fellows get involved was inspiring.

Since 2022, the Howard Kennedy team has contributed more than 500 hours of volunteering and raised an incredible £106,000 for Making The Leap through employee fundraising, matched funding and firm donations.

The impact of this partnership is clear in our Fellows’ journeys, and Yasin’s story is a powerful example. He took part in Howard Kennedy’s Be Extraordinary Work Experience Programme and shared: “I felt welcomed at Howard Kennedy from day one. My work experience gave me real confidence; I came away feeling like I’d done proactive, meaningful work in a professional law firm. Jackie, my mentor, was very supportive. She opened my eyes up through sharing her own experiences.”

Since completing the programme, Yasin now works as a Treasury Dealer at a London-based bank, having moved from a business operations role into managing the bank’s funding and liquidity.

We are hugely grateful to everyone at Howard Kennedy for their continued commitment. We are excited to see what we will achieve together over the next two years!
