Ian initially joined Making The Leap as an Associate in March but completed the Virtual ACE Programme in June 2020.
He has recently started a new role as Young Black Male Ambassador at Black Training & Enterprise Group. Here’s what he has to say:
“I honestly could not have done what I have been able to do if it were not for the entire team at Making The Leap. I am still very grateful for the workshops and just everything MTL did for me because not only did my employability skills improve, but as a person, I became more confident in myself and my abilities.
I found my role as Young Black Male Ambassador through Jamal, Engagement Officer at MTL. He recommended I should apply for it and I’m thankful to him that he recommended the role to me, as I really enjoy being able to make a difference. The position has been great so far, as my Career Champion Natalie (also Career Coach at MTL) has prepared me for what to expect and has guided me through anything I have needed help with.
I can’t say it enough, I’m truly grateful and thankful for the entire team at Making The Leap.”
