What a day! On Thursday 11 June, Social Mobility Day 2026 — and it happened because people like you shared their stories.

The posts are still making us smile. Hundreds of organisations got involved and the message travelled far beyond our own channels. Deutsche Bank, KPMG, PwC UK, Capita, SMBC and Morgan Stanley all joined in, alongside leading voices including Darren Hardman, the CEO of Microsoft UK&I and former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

On the day itself, posts lit up social media in one coordinated wave of support.

We also made national headlines. Features in The Times and The Sun put Social Mobility Day — and the “Stories Matter” theme — in front of an estimated 35 million people, reaching employers, policymakers, young people and parents alike.
